100days in office: NYSC DG assures staff of improved welfare

The National Youth Service Corps NYSC Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, was agog as staff members celebrated the 19th Director General of the Scheme, Brigadier General Muhammad Kaku Fadah on his 100 Days in office.

In a ceremony at the Conference Hall of the Headquarters on Thursday, the Director General assured members of staff that he is committed to improved staff welfare as well as taking the NYSC to greater heights.

According to Fadah, some of his landmark achievements in the last 100 days like the inauguration of the staff hostel in keffi, Nasarawa State, inauguration of the NYSC TV and Radio mast, almost completed ICT center amongst others, could not have been possible without the cooperation of staff.

General Fadah noted that he was not unaware of some of the challenges confronting the Scheme and admonished staff to be relentless in pursuing the vision of the founding fathers, in a statement released by Director, Press and Public Relations.

Speaking further, the DG said he is committed to ensuring the policy thrust of his administration which is improvement of the security and general welfare of Corps Members, enhancement of Staff Welfare, industrial harmony and human capacity development for higher productivity.

Also improving the gains of the NYSC ventures and the skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme, sustaining the digitization of the operations of the scheme for enhanced efficiency and deepening the impact of the Scheme on rural development through Community Development Service.

He thanked staff for their continuous support and assured them of his commitment to make things better for all.

In her welcome remarks at the ceremony, the Director, Human Resource Management, Hajiya Habiba Bappah thanked the DG for his efforts in taking the Scheme to greater heights and called on staff to be loyal to the scheme as better days lies ahead.

The Director assured the Director General of staff unflinching support in other for him to succeed.

In his vote of thanks, the Director, Ventures management who is also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prince Mohammed Momoh thanked all staff for their contributions towards the succees of the ceremony and urged them to be selfless as well as pray for the DG to achieve more in the days ahead.
