The Federal Ministry of Works recently bid a fond farewell to Engr. Clement Azubuike Ogbuagu, its esteemed Director of Highways, Construction and Rehabilitation, marking the culmination of an illustrious career spanning over three decades.

His retirement ceremony, a vibrant affair attended by dignitaries including the Honourable Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, and the Permanent Secretary Rafiu Adeladan, resonated with glowing tributes to a man whose contributions have profoundly shaped Nigeria’s road infrastructure.

He also commended the Honourable Minister of Works, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, for introducing innovative engineering solutions, particularly the adoption of continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) technology, which has significantly improved the durability and quality of federal road projects.

Engr. Ogbuagu appealed for adequate and timely funding for road projects, recognizing the sector’s critical role in economic growth, national integration, and sustainable development.

He encouraged his colleagues to uphold the ethics and values of the Federal Civil Service, discharging their duties with diligence, honesty, and integrity to ensure their own honourable retirements.
