A human rights activist and Executive Chairman, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ), Adeniji Alimi Sulaiman, has commiserated with the authourity of the Premier University in Nigeria, the University of Ibadan and the University Chapter of the Academic Staff Union (ASUU) of the University.
The commiseration came after the sudden demise of the University Senior lecturer in the Department of History, Late Dr. David Olayinka Ajayi at 53years of age, he said the sudden death of the renown academician and historian was surprised to all and sundry.
Comrade Sulaiman who disclosed that he received the news of the sudden death of Dr. Ajayi with a rude shock, saying that Late Ajayi would be remembered for his selfless service to humanity.
Sulaiman, who doubles as the Convener, Save Lagos Group (SLG), maintained that the deceased was one of their best lecturers in the Department of History of the University that had model the lives of many students who had a cause pass through his tutelage in life and those people have made it in life.
He urged the deceased family members, friends and associates to take solace in the legacy of hard working and selfless service left behind by late Dr. David Olayinka Ajayi.
Sulaiman, therefore, prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased, praying to God to give the family, Children, associates, friends, university management and academic colleagues the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
