The All Progressives Congress (APC) is gearing up for 8th National Convention, a landmark event scheduled from Friday, March 27 to Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Abuja.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced that a substantial 8,453 delegates from across the nation’s six geopolitical zones are expected to converge, signaling the party’s broad appeal and robust organizational structure.
During an APC World Media Briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Idris underscored that the convention transcends a mere routine gathering.
It is poised to be a profound moment of reflection, consolidation, and strategic planning, designed to reinforce the party’s commitment to national development under President Bola Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.
The theme, “Unity in Progress – Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda,” encapsulates the party’s core values of cohesion, continuity, and a clear vision for the nation’s future.
He assured journalists that meticulous arrangements have been finalized to ensure a seamless, transparent, and credible convention at Eagle Square.
“The party is very responsible, and our budget has a self-adjusting mechanism to accommodate all delegates,” Idris stated, emphasizing that no accredited delegate would be left out.
To facilitate comprehensive media coverage and keep Nigerians well- informed, a fully equipped media center will be operational at the convention venue.
All accredited media organizations will be granted access, with the Minister urging to uphold professionalism and report responsibly, honestly, and in the national interest.
The APC, the Minister affirmed, remains dedicated to building a stronger, more united Nigeria, where governance is characterized by accountability, inclusiveness, and a clear path to progress.
