Atiku, Kalu consoles Davido, Chioma over son, Ifeanyi’s death

The former Vice President and People Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has consoled the hip hop star, David Adeleke known as Davido and his fiance, Chioma Rowland over the death of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke on October 31, 2022.

Atiku took to his social media to express his sadness over the devastating death of the popular singer, he said, “My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and Chioma and the Adeleke family at this time. I pray for God to strengthen and comfort them”.

The Report has it that in the late hours of Monday, October 31, 2022, news of Davido and Chioma’s son Ifeanyi Adeleke’s death circulated on social media platforms, with many wishing to hear that the information was false.

The Three-year-old Ifeanyi was reported to have drowned in the swimming pool of his father’s residence at Banana Island, Lagos, while the singer was said to have been moved from the hospital, where Ifeanyi was rushed to and confirmed dead in Lekki.

Meanwhile, the Police in Lagos State have confirmed that eight domestic staff of the hip hop star, David Adeleke, known as Davido are in their custody following the death of his  3-year-old son, Ifeanyi, as the police, however, denied that the staff were arrested, insisting that they were” brought to the police for questioning.”

The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin who confirmed Ifeanyi’s death after series of phone call from media on Monday, said, ”Yes I can confirm the death of Davido’s son to you.

“The case was reported to the police on Monday, adding that ” We have not arrested anybody but eight members of Davido’ s domestic staff have been brought for questioning”, Hundeyin said.

Also, the Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu said he has announced the cancellation of all official engagements scheduled for Tuesday following the unfortunate death of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.

Reacting, Kalu in a post on his official Facebook page, expressed shock, saying he was deeply saddened.

He wrote, “Dear David/Chioma, I am sober, I am deeply saddened by the loss of your son, Ifeanyi. I have canceled my official engagements today to mourn him quietly. Ifeanyi will be missed by everyone. May the Creator accept our prayers on his behalf”, Kalu said.

Celebrities and persons of different demographics across the world have continued to condole with the singer, who is planning to tie the knot with Chioma in 2023.
