United States Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi has given update of her husband’s health condition after he was attack in their residence at San Francisco by gunmen recently.
In a statement released by the Speaker after her husband, Paul Pelosi released from the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFGH) where he was admitted after being assaulted.
Nancy on behalf of the family thanked the world, people of America for their support and prayers for his husband. “The Pelosi family is thankful for the beautiful outpouring of love, support and prayers from around the world.
“Paul is grateful to the 911 operator, emergency responders, trauma care team, ICU staff, and the entire ZSFGH medical staff for their excellent and compassionate life-saving treatment he received after the violent assault in our home”, she said.
The Speaker hinted that his husband remains under doctors’ care and his health condition continue to progress on a long recovery process and convalescence. “He is now home surrounded by his family who request privacy”, she added.
Recalled that Paul Pelosi, the husband of United States House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was “violently assaulted” after a break-in at the couple’s home couple of weeks ago, in a statement from the office of the Speaker.
It stated further that the assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation as the Speaker’s husband was taken to hospital where he was receiving excellent medical care for a full recovery.
The reports which stressed that the Democratic House speaker, Nancy Pelosi the second in line to the United States Presidency, was not at home at the time of the early morning assault.
Paul Pelosi is a businessman who manages his own real estate and venture capital investment firm, Financial Leasing Services, based in San Francisco.
He met the Speaker, Nancy D’Alesandro who is now Pelosi when both were students in Washington DC, and they married in 1963 have five children.
