Augustine Umahi’s appointment, a priceless motivation to progressive

The recent appointment of former Director- General of Divine Mandate Campaign Organization doubled as Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council in Ebonyi State, Chief Augustine Chukwu Umahi is viewed by the progressives across the nooks and crannies of Ebonyi State.

“Especially the APC stakeholders at the Ward, Local Government and State levels as a welcome development that inspire greater momentum in the support and solidarity of the people of Ebonyi State to the Renewed Hope administration of the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

These are words of Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, the Special Adviser (Media) to the Minister of Works, in a statement released on Monday adding the people of Ebonyi are grateful to the President for numerous appointments given to Ebonyi sons and daughters under his administration.
According to him, “The appointment of Chief Umahi is considered a topnotch following his track records of integrity, industry, political experience, sense of duty, personal contributions to the advancement of the political landscape of the State and South East at large, and his support for the ideals of the Renewed Hope agenda of Mr. President.

“History will reckon with Chief Augustine Chukwu Umahi as an inner base in trajectory of Ebonyi State roadmap towards national mainstreaming, especially the resolve of Ebonyi people to join All Progressives Congress, APC in 2021”.

He recalled how Chief Austin Umahi is loved and admired by his people, and still enjoys especially the support of Ebonyi youths and upcoming politicians in Ebonyi State for his good heart and compassion on the plight of the downtrodden, saying Umahi is a man of goodwill, gratitude, fortitude, and rectitude.
“When it mattered most in the political cycle of Ebonyi State in 2014, Chief Augustine Chukwu Umahi was a resource base in the political arithmetic that created the Divine Mandate platform upon which contemporary political machinery of Ebonyi State is established.

“In the 2023 General Elections, Chief Chukwu Umahi, as Director-General that engineered the operationalization of the campaign processes of All Progressives Congress at all levels of the campaign structure in the State, saw to the victory of APC despite existential inhibitions that had a sweeping blow on the electoral fortunes of APC in South East.

“There is no gain flogging the fact that he got a sweeping victory in his polling unit for the All Progressives Congress and wielded great influence in the voting pattern in his area.

“A dissenting criticism from an infinitesmal opposition residues in the State should be regarded as baseless disenchantment of those who have refused to embrace the olive branch of the Divine Mandate administration of our dear Governor after they were defeated in the 2023 election.
While noted that Chief Augustine Chukwu Umahi has paid his dues, made patriotic concessions, and worked tirelessly to see that Ebonyi State moves forward which earns him the recognition given to him by the State and Federal Governments.

Barr. Orji said further that the appointment of Chief Augustine Chukwu Umahi as Chairman of Board of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital is, therefore, a source of encouragement that passion, loyalty, and forthrightness in service can not go unrecognized under the Renewed Hope administration.

“His appointment is a priceless motivation to the progressives and indeed all who are giving their best for the progress, success of the Renewed Hope agenda in the State.
He revealed that the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellence Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, is highly commended for demonstrating inclusive leadership and political maturity, which has deepened the cause of peace, unity, and development in the State.

Also, the Honourable Minister of Works, *His Excellency, Sen. Engr. Nweze David Umahi, and Pathfinder of Divine Mandate will be commended for actualizing the right succession and the political platform for the realization of the destiny of Ebonyi State.

As a leader who saw tomorrow, he launched the State into the mainstream of national politics, and today, Ebonyi State is reaping the benefits.
