Coronation, Daba Open Digital Gateway to Nigeria’s Capital Market

Coronation Securities Limited and Coronation Asset Management Limited have partnered with Daba Markets Inc. to give eligible international investors digital access to Nigerian capital-market opportunities.

The strategic distribution arrangement brings together Coronation’s market expertise and Daba Finance’s technology and international reach.

Under the agreement, users of the
Daba Finance platform will be able to access Nigerian market intelligence, investor education and selected capital -market products made available by Coronation.

The partnership is designed to serve Africans in the diaspora and other global investors who want exposure to Nigeria but may face challenges obtaining reliable information and navigating local market structures.

Daba Finance will provide the digital user journey through a corporate trust arrangement, while Coronation’s Securities and Exchange Commission- registered businesses will provide the underlying Nigerian capital-market services within the country’s regulatory
framework.

The platform will feature Nigerian market news, data, analysis and research publications supported by Coronation’s research capabilities.

The companies will also offer
educational courses through Daba Academy and Coronation Investment Academy, alongside joint webinars covering investment instruments, market safeguards, opportunities and risks.

Eligible users will have access to fully digital onboarding, multi-currency funding, investment-request and trade- placement functionality, as well as investment reporting.

The relevant functionality is already live on the Daba platform, according to the companies.

“Millions of Africans in the diaspora and investors around the world follow African markets closely but find it hard to participate from a distance,” said Boum III Jr., chief executive officer of Daba Finance.

He said the partnership would combine Coronation’s Nigerian market expertise with Daba’s technology and international reach to help investors move from learning about the market to participating in it.

Anthony Miclet, Daba Finance’s chief product officer, said the arrangement would bring market intelligence, education and access to African investment opportunities into one digital experience.

Jibola Odedina, managing director and chief executive officer of Coronation Securities, said widening participation in Nigeria’s capital market required more than access to products.

It also required credible information, investor confidence and a clear understanding of the investment environment.

Aigbovbioise Aig-Imoukhuede, managing director of Coronation Asset Management, said investor education was essential to building healthy and sustainable capital markets.

She added that the partnership would help equip a broader international audience with the knowledge needed to make informed investment decisions.

Daba Finance, headquartered in Miami, says it serves more than 250,000 customers across the United States, Europe, Canada and Africa.

Its affiliate, Daba Advisors LLC, is registered as an investment adviser with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
