Senator (Engr) David Umahi, the Minister of Works, has passionately urged Nigerians, particularly the Muslim faithful, to rally in prayer and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking during an Eid-el-Kabir celebration hosted at his Abakaliki residence on Wednesday, Umahi lauded Tinubu’s uncommon commitment to solving Nigeria’s challenges and moving the nation forward.
The gathering, a testament to the spirit of unity and peaceful coexistence prevalent in Ebonyi State, saw Muslim leaders and members from the ethnic backgrounds, including Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba, join Umahi and his family.
The Minister emphasized his belief in
the shared worship of one God, a sentiment that has consistently guided his annual Sallah celebrations, often including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
“So today, I invited them to receive gifts – cash, rice, and groundnut oil so they can buy their rams and celebrate,” he stated.
The Minister seized the opportunity to make a fervent appeal for prayers for President Tinubu’s continued success, strength, and re-election.
unwavering focus on addressing the country’s myriad challenges, asserting, “I do not see any other person with the kind of commitment he has towards daunting challenges we have in Nigeria.
“And nobody has been able to come out and say, ‘Listen, this particular area that you are criticizing, this is the best way to go about it.’ So, let us pray for the President.”
Umahi also extended his call for prayers to Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the state, seeking divine strengthening for them to continue delivering democratic dividends to the populace.
He concluded by conveying warm Sallah greetings to Muslim faithful across Ebonyi State and Nigeria, with a special wish for President Tinubu’s happy Sallah celebration.
