In our quest to search for upcoming schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, where the students’ performances are overwhelming, in line with our commitment to hype education sector in the country, Media Bypass News paid courtesy visit to Marvellous Heritage School, Anifalaje, Akobo recently.
In a chat with the Proprietress of the School, Mrs Akanni Folashade who revealed that Marvelous Heritage started nine years ago with the population of five pupils, expressed her gratitude to God that the population now is over 100 with numerous well experienced teaching staff.
Mrs Akanni pressed further that the school has graduated excellent pupils since its inception to the extent of giving assurance for parents whose children are dullard to bring their kids and experience the difference.
The Proprietress who could not hold her happiness, told Media Bypass News how the pupils have been getting double promotion because of the overwhelming performances, attributed this to the teachers for doing their job diligently to impact knowledge to these pupils.
Mrs Akanni lamented the present situation of the country while complaining heavily about the outstanding debts of school fees by the parents which were not rampant before. She said, ”I can not blame these parents because situation of the country has warranted it”.
In the next 5years, the Proprietress hoped that Marvellous Heritage School would have become one of the leading school in Nigeria with lots of arms, branches across, she said she never thought of having a Secondary school though.
The Supervisor who doubled as the HM, Mrs Oluseyi said Marvellous Heritage is a school for the child you love, in the sense that children are being built, morally, academically, socially in every areas.
According to her, “Here, we raise total children, children that you can call upon to represent you anytime and they will always make you proud. So Marvellous Heritage is a place where academy is top-notch, everything we do is of high key in excellence.
“Academically the pupils are sound to the extent that some parents brought their children from other big schools that are not doing well but here we give attention to each child at a particular time and the outcome is greatful.
“So once again Marvelous Heritage School still remains one of best upcoming school in the town”, she acknowledged.
On Government policy and regulations, the supervisor said Marvelous Heritage school has always follow due process and remains on track.
One of the teacher, Mrs Olaseni who spoke with Media Bypass News said Marvelous Heritage School is like home to every pupil, where children find comfort. “We female teachers mingle with our pupils like mothers to daughters while the men relate with the boys like father to son”.
The teacher expressed happiness that every knowledge passed to these pupils have manifested in their daily activities, adding that the relationship between the teachers and the management has been very interesting and cordial.
Mrs Olaseni prayed that in the next 5year, Marvelous Heritage School, Akobo would have become more advance with lots of arms, branches across the country, the establishment of secondary school and University by God’s grace.
A parent, Mrs Omotosho Simbi whose daughter is one the pupil of the school said her daughter has improved drastically in her academic performance, improve socially and morally, thanked the school for a job well-done.
Mrs Omotosho explained that her daughter before could only write figure one but bodily said now the daughter has improved in her writing skill and her rymth topnotch, adding that on social aspect her daughter can communicate confidently now.
She also gave kudos to the school on moral aspect, revealing that her daughter would wake up in the morning, kneel and greet everybody at home. “First time, I saw this, I was very surprised knowing that the children of nowadays are at the age of digital world where moral values aren’t appreciated anymore”.
Mrs Omotosho concluded that Marvelous Heritage School is one of the best in Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State. “If you want to think of school with academic and moral values think of Marvelous Heritage School”, she said.
