No directive to pay N70k minimum wage to Corps members – NYSC

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has debunked the information circulating in the media regarding payment of N70, 000 minimum wage to Corps Members and the directive to upgrade their accounts.

The Management in a statement released by the Scheme Spokesman, Eddy Megwa on Saturday stated that such information is misleading and absolute falsehood, adding that this is far from the truth.
The NYSC made it clear to Corps Members, parents and members of the public that no directive has been received from the relevant sector of government responsible for wages matters.

Pointed clearly that it is therefore impossible for the Scheme to issue any information on such while admonishes Corps Members to desist from allowing mischief makers who are set to mislead Nigerians from continuing to play on their intelligence.
According to the Scheme, “Corps Members already know the approved channel and mode of communication in the Scheme and should therefore ignore the directive accordingly”.

The Scheme therefore warned Bloggers, social media influencers and others to stop issuing statements that concerns the management of National Youth Service Corps without authorization.
