Ogun roads: We’ve done more than Previous administration, Abiodun brags

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said that his administration have constructed, reconstructed or rehabilitated more than 80 major roads and others (Federal roads inclusive) in totaling 400 kilometres roads across the State.

Abiodun who revealed this on his social media platform on Saturday, bragged that in his three years and six months as the Governor, his administration has done more in terms of kilometres of roads than previous administrations in the State.



The Governor while commissioning 2.35km Arepo-Journalists Estate Road recently, promised to continue espousing projects capable of making life more meaningful to people and residents of Ogun state.

Also noted that genuine development should be people-oriented, Abiodun recalled that he had promised during the electioneering towards the 2019 general election to fix the road if he was elected governor, expressing his delight that Arepo Road which had been in a bad state for years has finally been constructed.

The new roads which the Governor stated would reduce travel time, stress and vehicle maintenance of Ogun residents, declared that his administration would continue to fix internal and external roads in the state, with a view to improving the socio-economic well-being of the people.

He added that the state government under his watch has embarked upon the construction of all arterial roads linking Ogun with Lagos state, emphasizing his administration is determined to raise the bar in road construction in few years to come.



“We are determined to raise the bar in road construction in few years to come. Our administration has has constructed most roads in Ogun Central, we will continue to look after the welfare of our people.

“We are determined to be fair and participatory; we’ll not development a section of the state at the expense of others”.

Abiodun also assured during the commissioning that his administration will complete all uncompleted projects embarked upon by his predecessor in office, which direct positive socio-economic well-being of Ogun people. “We will continue to make life better for the people”, he said.
