Osun-born Activist, Adeniyi looses mother to death

Lagos based Osun State born human rights activist, Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman (Revolutionary Alfa), has lost his mother, Olori Halimot Aduke Adeniyi, popularly known as “Iya Shop” to the cold hand of death on Sunday August 28th, 2022.

In a statement issued by the Media Unit of the Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ) which was made available to newsmen on Monday.

It disclosed that mother of CHRSJ Executive Chairman, Mama Olori Adeniyi died at age of Ninety-Three (93) years after a brief illness at the residence of her husband, Abioye Ruling House/ Compound, Awo, the headquarters of Egbedore Local Government area of Osun State,Nigeria.

She has been buried on the same day according to the Islamic rite, as Olori Adeniyi was business tycoon during her life time and Iyalaaje Adinni of Awoland and also Iya Egbe Iwajowa and Maroojuowo Societies, adding that she live a fulfilled life worthy of emulation as a good wife and mother till her last breathing on Sunday.

The statement further described the late Mama a quintessence of beauty, epitome of hardwork, symbol of humility and honesty, adding that she was a believer in ” Fiat Justitiae Ruat Column”,that is ” let justice be done even if heaven will fall”. 

The 3rd day fidau prayer slated to hold on Tuesday 30th of August 2022 at the Abioye Compound,Awo by 10 am in the morning.

She survived by children, grand children and great-grandchildren, among whom are; Princess Serah Ilufoye, Olori(Princess) Folasade Lawal, Mallam Adams Adeniyi(Elder), Comrade Adeniyi Alimi Sulaiman (Revolutionary Alfa) and Prince Abubakar Adeniyi.
