A member of the Oyo State Governor’s Advisory Council, Barrister Michael Lana, has mourned the death of the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland and former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Yekini Adeojo.
Lana in a statement he personally signed described the death of Chief Adeojo as a great loss not only to Ibadanland, Oyo State but humanity as a whole, noting that he impacted lives positively across political and religious divides.
The former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo State, said as a political collosus his name cannot be forgotten in the history of Oyo State, insisting that the late elder statesman gave his best in the service of the pace setter state and Nigeria.
“As a father figure the deep knowledge of Islamic teachings and political strategy earned Baba respect across Ibadanland, Yorubaland and the country as a whole.
“It is my fervent prayer that Almighty Allah will grant repose to his soul, uphold the family he left behind and console all of us that he left behind.”
