The Management of National Youth Service Corps has restated that deployment, posting, relocation and other services including kit items, and the booklets on security, even the entrepreneurship among others are issued to Corps Members on arrival at the Orientation Camps at no cost.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Scheme while wish to use this platform to inform Members of the public, especially Prospective Corps Members, Parents and their Guardians.
The management also advised its esteemed stakeholders to beware of unscrupulous persons that are using online platforms to defraud the unsuspecting Members of the public by advertising NYSC kits that the Scheme gives Corps to Members in Camp.
Management hereby restated it’s commitment to ensuring that no Corps Member is defrauded by these online advertisers.
Similarly, the management said efforts are on-going with the security agencies to apprehend and prosecute the faceless individuals behind these ignominious acts.
Meanwhile, as the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course starts on Thursday Prospective Corps Members are instructed not to embark on night journey while going to their respective Orientation Camps.
In case their trip is going beyond 6pm, they are advised to pass the night in any military or police barrack, NYSC Formation, Corps Lodges and other safe places and continue their journey the following day.
The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General YD Ahmed wished the Prospective Corps Members and Camp Officials safe trip to camp, and a successful 2024 Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course.
