Taste of Afrika to host 2nd edition of Cultural Oneness Festival in Ghana

The ultimate mission of The Taste Of Afrika initiative is to strengthen the underlying Kingship and cultural bonds between Africans living in the continent and people of African descent in Diaspora by highlighting their common origins while celebrating their cultural diversity as one people.

To achieve the above-mentioned mission, Cultural Oneness Festival is the catalyst being used by The Taste Of Afrika to effect the Tourism, Arts and Cultural diversity goal and objective.

In this regard, the 2nd edition of Cultural Oneness Festival has been slated for 13th to the 16th of November 2024 in Northern Ghana, aims to foster unity among African traditional institutions and promote cultural exchange for continental visibility and economic empowerment.


The four-day festival’s activities will comprise of Cultural Roots Tours, Durbar of Kings and Chiefs, Street Carnival and Exhibitions, Fashion Show, Business and Youth Empowerment Forum and a grand Musical Concert to climax the event.

The CEO of The Taste Of Afrika Ltd, Tengol K. Kplemani emphasized the festival’s mission as thus; “Our mission is to promote unity and diversity through cultural exchange and continental visibility for economic empowerment”.

Adding that, “The festival will serve as a platform for various traditional rulers, Kingdoms and leaders from across the continent to come together, share their rich cultural heritage, and collaborate on ways to advance their communities.”

The Cultural Oneness Festival Country Director for Nigeria, Amb. Kazeem Balogun, echoed Tengol Kplemani’s sentiments, highlighting the importance of unity among African traditional institutions.
He stated that, “It is imperative for the African traditional institutions to come together, more under a unified front for the progress of the continent, and that’s what the Cultural Oneness Festival aims to achieve”.

Consequently, the upcoming Cultural Oneness Festival in Northern Ghana will provide a unique opportunity for traditional rulers and their Kingdoms to engage in meaningful dialogue and create strategies for the collective advancement of the continent.

Moreso, the Cultural Oneness Festival has received significant endorsement from prominent African leaders, including former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Recently, a high-powered delegation led by His Royal Highness, Nandom Naa Professor Delle, President of the Nandom Traditional Council, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Obasanjo in Abeokuta.
During this visit, Obasanjo expressed his support for the festival and its objectives, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in fostering unity and progress across Africa.

Several reputable brands, organizations and institutions have come on board to support The Taste Of Afrika basically to make their flagship annual event, Cultural Oneness Festival, a success.

National Commission on Culture, Ghana Society UK, Plan B Agency, Ethiopian Airlines, Et AL. are all reputable organizations and brands who have teamed up with The Taste Of Afrika to make the 2nd edition of Cultural Oneness Festival in Northern Ghana a success.

The Taste Of Afrika initiative has been dedicated to promoting African culture and unity through various events and programs while the Cultural Oneness Festival is a key part of this mission, aiming to bring together traditional rulers from diverse backgrounds to celebrate their shared heritage.
