The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will carry out annual preventive maintenance on the 132kV Katampe– Gwarinpa Transmission Line 1 on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The exercise, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the 132/33kV Katampe 1 Transmission Substation, will focus on the line’s bay switchgear and associated equipment.
TCN said the maintenance is part of efforts to ensure the reliability and safety of the transmission network.
The exercise will, however, affect electricity supply to parts of Dawaki, Dutse Alhaji, Gwarinpa, Kubwa, Arab Road, Bwari, Mopol Barracks, Jiwa, Suleja Township, Madalla, Zuba and other surrounding areas.
The company apologized to customers for the temporary disruption expected during the maintenance period.
