Tinubu reshuffles Ministers’ portfolios, moves Oyetola to marine

Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved redeployment of some Ministers while the former Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola redesignated to Ministry of Marine & Blue Economy.

According to statement released by the President Spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale on Sunday, Engr. Abubakar Momoh who was designated Youth Minister moved to Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Development.

 


Nigerian President earlier assigned portfolios to ministerial nominees who have been cleared by the Senate to form his cabinet, promised to kick start work first day of inauguration, mentioned that his government would be constituted before the first 30 days.

Oyetola who was earlier assigned Ministry of Transportation portfolio was moved to Marine and Blue Economy, reshuffled Bunmi Tunji-Ojo as the Honourable Minister of Interior and Sa’idu Alkali redeployed as Honourable Minister of Transportation.



Furthermore, both Ministers of State in the Oil and Gas sector are now domiciled in the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources with the following designations:

(i)  Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri is the Hon. Minister of State (Oil), Petroleum Resources. (ii) Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo is the Hon. Minister of State (Gas), Petroleum Resources.



President Tinubu through the Spokesman said further that the Federal Ministry of Youth which was designated for Engr. Abubakar Momoh will be re-assigned to a Minister-Designate soon.

Nigerian President also made the approval of renaming of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management as Federal Ministry of Environment, while all aforementioned changes take effect immediately by these directives of the President.
