Tinubu’ll fullfil promises made to Nigerians, PSA Chairman assures

The Chairman/Convener Progressives’s Solidarity for Asiwaju (PSA) and the 2018 APC National Chairmanship contestant, who also a member of Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Human Rights and Justice lawyer, Ibrahim Emokpaire has assured that the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will fulfill all promises made to Nigerians during his campaign and those made on his manifesto.

In his statement made available by the Director, Press and Publicity, Ayodele Olusegun Ariyo, while advised the President-elect that subsidy removal should be done on a reductive scale over a period of three to six months.

He said, “So as it won’t be immediate shock to Nigeria’s economy and won’t have any adverse effect on it’s citizens. It’s necessary to have the removal done step by step system so the effect will not be too sudden.

“The foreign exchange system in place operating presently should be something that the President-elect must collapse immediately, to one exchange rate to sustain economic growth for the Nation.

Saying, “this will have an immediate benefit to Nigerians rather than having two layers of exchange rate, the parallel and the black Market rates.

“So one single exchange rate system would be highly benefiting to the economy itself. So these are some of the immediate advise for President- elect to look into as he steps into office”, he said.

Emokpaire who believes Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is a progressive to the core that has the technical know-how will surround himself with the right people. “The President-elect knows the rudiments of governance, so he will be able to take up from day one, to hit the ground running, so that with him we will have a new dawn for a better Nigeria.

“As soon as the president elect is sworn in on the 29th of May 2023, as lots of Nigerians are having high expectations, I’m assured that the President-elect will not disappoint them and I’m very confident from the experience I had working with him over the years under the Action Congress of Nigeria (A.C.N).

“As our leader, one thing you can’t take away from Tinubu is the ability to see through some of the vision he has earmarked out for himself and the country, to be achieved within the shortest possible time, and I have no doubt that he will not entertain any distraction by focusing strictly on the things that he would do within his first 100days in office”.

The PSA Chairman said that he is confident in the President-elect’s promises that he is going to form a Government of National Competence. “Ive no doubt that he would ensure that round pegs are actually put in the round hole and this is somebody who can easily assemble to himself competent ones within the shortest possible time”.

He believed the President-elect can do what was done in England when they had economic crisis in 2009, which they had to bring in Canadian financial wizard to head the Bank of England and help to fix the economy for them.

“So I assume Mr President-elect will be looking at having an expert even coming around if not as head or atleast as a major adviser within our Central Bank and I believe we are in for an economic rebounds, engaging in positive governance that would transcend beyond our anticipation.

“Asiwaju Tinubu will be building on what President Muhammadu Buhari has done and will be able to set a milestone impact to run on the economy and all other areas that have been marked out in his manifesto”, PSA Chairman added.

Emokpaire welcomed the President- elect back to Nigeria after some weeks rest abroad and congratulated him once again for a very resounding foresight that he had by coming to contest for this election as well as the victory that was won by him.
