War: Blackout as Russia allegedly attack Ukraine’s critical infrastructure

Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has cried out over alleged attack by the Russian forces on the critical infrastructure which has led to total blackout in some part of the country.

The President on his social media platform made this known on Sunday, claimed that no military facilities at those places to warrant attack but Russia’s goal is to deprive people of light and heat.

According to him, “A total blackout in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, a partial one in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

Russian Forces terrorists remain terrorists and attacked critical infrastructure. No military facilities, the goal is to deprive people of light and heat”, the President said.

Reacting to this, the United States condemned attack to critical infrastructure in Ukraine, according to the State Department Spokesman, Ned Price on his social media platform, said:

“We condemn Russia’s air strikes on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure that have left thousands of civilians without power and clean water. We stand with Ukraine against Russia’s aggression”.

Meanwhile, it has been seven months since Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin’s February invasion of Ukraine, and the war’s terrible toll continues to mount.

Thousands of civilians killed or wounded, with over thirteen million Ukrainian civilians forced to flee their homes, historic cities pounded to rubble, horrifying reports of ongoing atrocities, nuclear power stations put at risk, food shortages, skyrocketing food prices around the world.
