The former Nigerian Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has called on Goverment to condemn the Saturday terrorists attack in Israel.
Fani-Kayode who took to his social media platform on Sunday while reacting to devastating attack of terrorist group who launched rockets on Israel city on early Saturday, killing scores of civilians.
The ex-Minister said the terrorist group (Hamas) worse than ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and the Taliban all put together, saying this group are nothing but vicious animals and heartless barbarians.
“It is time for our Govt to rise to the occassion and condemn this great evil that has been done to Israel. No more fence-sitting”, Fani-Kayode stressed.
He noted that whenever Boko Haram terrorists or ISWAP kill the Nigerian people the State of Israel always condemn it, express their concern and stand with Nigeria, adding that It is time for Nigerian government to do the same for them.
Fani-Kayode pressed further that this terrorists group (Hama) has nothing to do with freedom- fighting, saying that the quest for self-determination, Islam or Palestinian rights.
“They are not inrerested in any of these things which is why most of the Arab world, including the Palestinians of the West Bank, shun and despise them.
“They are nothing but cold-blooded killers, genocidal maniacs, ethnic cleansers and mass murderers and their singular objective, with the tacit support of Shia Iran, is to wipe the State of Israel off the face of the earth”, he said.
“Can you imagine over 1000 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists breaking through our borders and swarming into our territory like hungry and deadly rodents.
“And cockroaches in one morning killing over 400 innocent Nigerian citizens and wounding, maiming and abducting thousands of others from their streets and homes?
“Can you imagine them firing over 4000 deadly rockets into our country destroying much of the infrastructure in our border towns in the space of 12 hours? That is what happened to Israel yesterday”.
The ex-Minister called on the Israeli Defence Force and the Government of PM Bibi Netanyahu to totally crush Hamas, asking them to wipe out its members, flatten Gaza from the skies and send in ground troops to forcefully occupy the whole of the Gaza strip.
“The entire civilsed world stands with Israel. Those that are not and those that are sitting on the fence are standing with and encouraging the worst form of evil”, Fani-Kayode concluded.
Meanwhile, it was reported that on Saturday morning, dozens of armed Hamas terrorists crossed from Gaza into Israel; with more than 2,000 rockets fired at major cities across Israel.
It added that Thousands of Israelis were confined to their homes while Hamas terrorists patrol communities in southern Israel, tried to infiltrate homes and murdered innocent Israeli families.
Israel declared “state of war” on Saturday after Palestinian terrorists reportedly fired thousands of rockets from inside Gaza and while dozens of highly armed terrorists infiltrated parts of Israel opening fire on innocent civilians.
After the report has stated that the attacks were carried out by Hamas, an Islamic terrorist group that is funded in-part by Iran, during the holiday of Simchat Torah and on Shabbat — the Jewish day of rest that is observed by many in Israel.
Terrorist Mohammad Deif, Hamas’s Military Chief, said that his militants fired 5,000 rockets into Israel as part of “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm”, called for surrounding Islamic nations to join the Palestinian terrorists in their attacks on Israel.
Nigerian Goverment has called for de-escalation of hostilities in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
A statement issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, said it was deeply concerned about the outbreak of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the early hours of the day.
Worried that the cycle of violence and retaliation that the current escalation has assumed only “served to perpetuate an unending cycle of pain and suffering for the civilian population, it consequently called for ceasefire in the interest of the vulnerable civilians.
“The government also called for restraint and the need to prioritise the safety of civilians by giving room for humanitarian considerations.”
The Federal Government of Nigeria is deeply concerned about the outbreak of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in early hours of Saturday, 7th October, 2023 and calls for de-escalation and ceasefire.
“The cycle of violence and retaliation that the current escalation has assumed, only serves to perpetuate an unending cycle of pain and suffering for the civilian population, that bear the brunt of every conflict.”
“The Federal Government of Nigeria, therefore, calls both sides to exercise restraint, prioritize safety of civilians, give room for humanitarian considerations. We are therefore calling for a peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue.”
