All roads leading to the Bembo-Alexander axis of Apata-Ganga area in Ibadan were on Saturday blocked with APC chieftains and members, friends and families of a member of the House of Representatives representatiing Ido / Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, Engr. Remi Oseni at the launch of Ido Local Government Area chapter of Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF).
The event is currently taking place inside the Bembo Games Village, Apata-Ganga, Ibadan while ROCOF is a political movement spearheaded by the Honourable.The movement aims to mobilize support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition ahead of the 2027 general election.
Hundreds of grassroots politicians, community leaders, religious leaders, artisans, and traders converged on the venue, showcasing their enthusiasm for the movement. The event drew massive attention, with operatives of the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and other security agencies working tirelessly to control the crowd that stormed the venue.
Vehicular movement along the Bembo-Alexander axis of Apata was severely affected, bringing traffic to a crawl.
Hon. Oseni, who is the Chair, House Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), had expressed his determination to use ROCOF to mobilize five million votes for APC and President Tinubu in the 2027 polls. With a six-point agenda in place, ROCOF is poised to drive grassroots mobilization and support for the APC’s agenda.
The movement’s objective is not just about numbers but about fostering a culture of justice, equity, accountability, and good governance.
Empowering the grassroots, the launching of ROCOF marks the beginning of a strategic grassroots mobilization effort to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid and restore APC’s leadership in Oyo State.
