The National Youth Service Corps NYSC has raised alarm over fake advertisement making the rounds, especially on the social media titled: NYSC TRUST FUND (NYSCTF) 2023: BOOST YOUR BUSINESS DREAMS.

According to the statement released by the Scheme Spokesman, Eddy Megwa on Saturday, stated clearly that the advertisement is not from the National Youth Service Corps.

Revealing that this is the handiwork of fraudsters bent on defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians, particularly serving and ex-Corps Members of their resources.

The management made it known that the NYSC Trust Fund is still awaiting Mr President’s assent. “Therefore the existence of an NYSC Portal and link to register for the fund is only a ruse.

“When the Trust Fund is passed into Law, modalities to access the fund shall be officially made known to Nigerians through the print and electronic media as well as NYSC official handles in the social media, among others. Please, do not fall prey to fraudsters”, the Scheme added.

The statement reads: The attention of NYSC Management has been drawn to above fake advertisement making the rounds, especially on the social media.

Management wishes to state emphatically that the advertisement is not from the National Youth Service Corps. It is the handiwork of fraudsters bent on defrauding unsuspecting Nigerians, particularly serving and ex-Corps Members of their resources.

The NYSC Trust Fund is still awaiting Mr President’s assent. Therefore the existence of an NYSC Portal and link to register for the fund is only a ruse.

When the Trust Fund is passed into Law, modalities to access the fund shall be officially made known to Nigerians through the print and electronic media as well as NYSC official handles in the social media, among others. Please, do not fall prey to fraudsters.
