The Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi has ordered the opening of federal roads to commuters and road users throughout the festive period to facilitate smooth and safe travel nationwide.
In a statement released by the Ministry recently, the Minister also called for an emergency meeting scheduled Tuesday 23rd December, 2025, time: 2:00 p.m at the Conference Room, Federal Ministry of Works Headquarters in Abuja.
This meeting is meant for all Directors, Zonal Directors, and Controllers of Works in the Ministry, and Managing Directors, as well as the Project Managers for the companies handling the Ministry’s road projects.
The Minister who has earlier reassured Nigerians of the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring safe efficient and reliable road transportation nationwide during this festival period, extended his best wishes for a peaceful and joyous celebration.
