Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) have lauded the federal government’s injection of the N98 billion into primary healthcare centers nationwide, asserting that this significant investment will substantially enhance primary healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

In a statement, TMV Chairman Chukwudi Enekwechi and Secretary Segun Ogedengbe highlighted that this funding demonstrates the President Bola Tinubu administration’s commitment to grassroots healthcare.

The group noted that the N98 billion disbursement in 2025 is intended to accelerate primary healthcare delivery in Nigeria, aiming to boost productivity, security, and economic growth.

According to information released during the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Health Convention and Roundtable in Abuja, this investment represents one of the largest single-year commitments to grassroots health delivery in recent times.
TMV commended the initiative, anticipating that it will support an additional 5,212 facilities and broaden access to quality healthcare in rural and underserved communities.

The group emphasized that this funding is integral to the Tinubu administration’s strategy to reposition the health sector as a cornerstone of national development.
They further reported that, as a direct result of this substantial financial injection, 2,565 health centers have been upgraded, with an additional 1,456 primary health centers currently undergoing renovation across the country.

TMV concluded that the federal government’s deliberate policy of allocating funds for the improvement of rural health institutions will significantly strengthen the local populace and foster increased productivity.
