The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, has approved a strategic redeployment of senior officers to enhance operational effectiveness, improve institutional coordination, and reposition the Corps for better service delivery.
According to the statement released by the Agency revealed that this move aims to strengthen FRSC’s statutory mandate of ensuring safer roads across Nigeria.
Key appointments and redeployments include: Olusegun Ogungbemide: Former Corps Public Education Officer, now Assistant Corps Marshal (Operations) at FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja. He will lead nationwide enforcement coordination and strategic field operations.
Felicia Kalu: Formerly Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, now Acting Corps Public Education Officer. She will oversee public communication, media engagement, and road safety advocacy campaigns.
Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede: Moves from Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command, to Corps Intelligence Officer (CIO) at the national headquarters.
Corps Commander HA Ibrahim: Posted from Corps Commander Manpower, FRSC Academy, to Sector Commander, RS1.3 Katsina Sector Command.
Corps Commander HA Ogundayo: Redeployed from Corps Commander (National Traffic Radio), Corps Public Education Office, to Corps Commander (NTR), Corps Marshal’s Office.
Deputy Corps Commander OJ Ohaeri fnipr: Moves from Deputy Corps Commander (Marshal Inspector) Administration and Human Resources Department, RSHQ, to Deputy Corps Public Education Officer.
The Corps Marshal emphasized that these changes are part of ongoing efforts to foster greater efficiency and professionalism within the Corps.
The FRSC vowed to remain committed to its mission via strengthened operations, intelligence-driven enforcement, strategic public education, and sustained collaboration with stakeholders.
