President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday 29th May marked his third year in office with a powerful address, highlighting significant strides in national development and reaffirming his administration’s commitment to Renewed Hope Agenda.

Tinubu’s address, delivered on the third anniversary of his inauguration as the President underscored the visible signs of recovery, resilience, and renewal across Nigeria, despite difficult but necessary decisions.

These projects span critical sectors which includes energy, health, enterprise, education, public works, demonstrating a broad-based approach to national development.

Energy Sector Boost: A major highlight was the commissioning of four flagship projects under the Midstream and
Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund.

These include FEMADEC Energy at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri—the first of twenty CNG refuelling stations in federal universities—and Portland Gas at Ojota, Lagos, a 96,000 SCMD CNG mother station with a daughter station in Kubwa, Abuja.
Additionally, Ibile Oil and Gas launched its network of fifteen CNG refuelling stations across Lagos State, and Rolling Energy at Jahi, Abuja, anchored seventeen RLNG and LCNG facilities across Kaduna, Kano, and Borno.

These initiatives are set to significantly lower transport costs, expand cleaner energy options, and bolster Nigeria’s energy sovereignty.

Transforming Healthcare: The health sector saw substantial advancements with the commissioning of thirteen
new projects across all six zones.
These include six new facilities at federal teaching hospitals, such as the President Bola Tinubu Complex at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, and a new Mental Health Complex at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

State Emergency Operations Centres in Kano, Sokoto, and Katsina, along with the newly constructed Lagos Vaccine Hub in Oshodi, were also unveiled.

A significant boost to emergency services was the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System
fleet, comprise 145 tricycle ambulances, six boat ambulances, and 79 new ambulances for federal hospitals.
Furthermore, two revitalized primary health centres at Gadon Kaya in Kano and Aboh in Delta State were commissioned.

These represent nearly three thousand primary health centres revitalized under the IMPACT programme over the last two years, alongside numerous equipped Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care sites and revitalized Level 1 and Level 2 facilities, all aimed at bringing quality healthcare closer to ordinary Nigerians.

Economic and Educational Development: Complementing these efforts, the new SMEDAN Industrial Development Centre at Ikorodu, Lagos, was commissioned, alongside additional projects in education and public works.
These initiatives are designed to foster enterprise, enhance educational infrastructure, and improve public services nationwide.

Tinubu emphasized that these projects are not mere ceremonial symbols but
tangible evidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda is making a real impact on homes, businesses, schools, and hospitals across the federation.

He concluded by stating that while today marked the commemoration of his inauguration, a full scorecard of his
administration’s achievements would be presented to Nigerians on June 12, Democracy Day.

The President affirmed, “The work continues. The reforms continue. And our resolve remains unshaken”.
