The Purple Crown Gymnastics Club successfully hosted its 6th annual Gymnastics Fun Day over the weekend at the Uzzitz Events Centre for Arts and Culture in Mabuchi, Abuja.

The vibrant event drew students, parents, invited guests, and gymnastics enthusiasts from various countries, fostering an atmosphere of excitement, talent, and family enjoyment.

The event proudly displayed the remarkable progress of the young gymnasts through diverse performances.

Parents and guardians enthusiastically applauded the club’s dedication to cultivating discipline, confidence, resilience, and sporting excellence among children.

Mr. Sanmi Lajuwunmi, a proud parent whose daughter, Miss Desire, recently joined the club, expressed his delight at her impressive performance. “I am very happy with my daughter’s passion for gymnastics”.

“Although she joined the club only a few months ago, seeing her perform confidently alongside other children in such a well-organized event is truly encouraging.

“I commend the organizers and urge them to continue their excellent work,” he stated.

Mrs. Aisha Salim, grandmother of Anita Mukhtar, described herself as a regular attendee, having participated in the event twice.

She lauded the Head Coach and CEO of Purple Crown Gymnastics Club, Coach Martha Gabriel, for her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to developing young talent.

However, she advised the organizers to enhance time management to prevent conflicts with other scheduled activities.

Mrs. Salim also mentioned that she had referred many friends to the club and expressed her joy at attending the event with her granddaughter.

Another parent, Mrs. Dara, whose daughter Shabiba joined the club barely a month ago, noted a significant improvement in her daughter’s confidence and performance.

She suggested that future editions of the event should incorporate public speaking sessions for contestants in the beauty pageant segment.

According to Mrs. Dara, allowing contestants to discuss topics of national importance would further enrich the program’s educational value.

Mrs. Yewande Aluko, who attended to support her granddaughter, expressed her satisfaction with the children’s performances.

She recommended introducing additional entertainment activities and fun games for parents and elderly family members to make the event even more engaging.

Similarly, Mrs. Aisha Mukhtar, mother of Aliya and Sa’ada, praised the children’s
outstanding performances.

She expressed confidence that, with continuous training and dedication, many of them could one day represent Nigeria in international gymnastics competitions.

She highlighted that her daughters have been club members for four years and have demonstrated tremendous growth.

Mrs. Stella Chibuike-Ezike, a club sponsor and mother of two children in Purple Crown Gymnastics Club at Levels Two and Three, commended the club’s remarkable impact over the past three years.

She stated that the club has played a crucial role in developing discipline, focus, resilience, responsibility, and good character among the children.

She described the turnout as impressive and appealed to more corporate organizations and philanthropic individuals to support the club in expanding its programs and nurturing
future champions for Nigeria.

Also speaking at the event, Mrs. Adiat Olajumoke Ariyo, Chief Executive Officer of Nanny’s Palace Limited, expressed her admiration for the quality of organization and the enthusiasm displayed by the children.

Impressed by the event’s success, she announced that Nanny’s Palace Limited would sponsor the club’s next event with a special support package, reaffirming the company’s slogan: “Loved by Kids… Trusted by Parents.”

In her closing remarks, Coach Martha Gabriel, Head Coach and CEO of Purple Crown Gymnastics Club, extended her gratitude to all participants, parents, sponsors, and guests for contributing to the event’s immense success.

She expressed satisfaction with the
children’s performances and promised that the next edition, scheduled for November 2026, would be even grander.

She also voiced optimism that major corporate organizations such as MTN Nigeria and MultiChoice Nigeria would partner with the club in future editions to further promote gymnastics development in Nigeria.

She concluded by appreciating
everyone who attended and supported the Purple Crown Gymnastics Club’s 6th
Gymnastics Fun Day.
