A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and former gubernatorial aspirant, Engineer Oyedele Hakeem Alao (Allow Alao), has congratulated a revered elder statesman and the first National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, as he celebrates his 86th birthday.
Alao in a statement he personally signed, described the former governor of Osun State as a committed progressive whose life has been a source of emulation to many politicians across political divides in the country.

According to him, since his entry into politics in the late 70s selfless service has been his watchword, stating that he remains a shining light in the political history of the old Oyo State, Osun State and the country as a whole.
The Asiwaju of Irokoland while lauding his tireless advocacy for democracy and nation-building, he said his contributions to the APC and Nigeria are notable and worthy of emulation by serving and upcoming politicians.

He said, “I join teeming admirers of our revered father, Chief Adebisi Akande, to congratulate him on the auspicious occasion of his 86th birthday anniversary.
“The life of Baba has been one of selfless service to humanity and as a committed Awoist and progressive he has continued to be a role model to many politicians in the country.

“As he turns 86, I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to grant him the will and ability to continue with the good works he has been doing for humanity.”
