The Minister of Works, Sen Engr David Umahi has felicitated with the Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his reelection to a further term of office as Governor of Anambra State.

Umahi, in a statement said Soludo’s resounding victory on the polls of the 8th day of November 2025, underpins the implicit confidence of the good people of Anambra State in his progressive leadership.

He added that this renewed social contract is a mandate for the Governor to continue to advance the cause of development that is anchored on transparency and accountability.

Umahi to Soludo, “You have done very well in changing the developmental trajectory of Anambra State.

“The newly emerging indices of economic growth and development in Anambra State are pointers that demonstrate your commitment to the progress and prosperity of Anambra State”, the Minister stated.
He commended the Governor’s standards of magnanimity and sense of humility in victory, and urged him not to relent in delivering inclusive leadership and championing progressive policies that will place the State on the list of the strongest economies of Nigeria’s sub-nationals.

“I trust you can do it. Once more congratulations and please accept always the assurances of the esteemed regards and best wishes of my family, the management, and staff of Federal Ministry of Works”, the Minister concluded.

On Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Professor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)  winner of the November 8 Governorship election in Anambra.
