Coronation Registrars Limited has unveiled its 2025 performance scorecard, underscoring its pivotal role in fostering transparency, efficiency, and investor confidence within Nigeria’s dynamic capital market.

In a landmark year, Coronation Registrars processed an impressive ₦1.28 trillion in dividends, accounting for over 40 percent of the total dividends distributed across the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

This remarkable achievement highlights the organization’s substantial operational scale and the profound trust bestowed upon it by leading publicly listed corporations.

Further solidifying its market leadership, Coronation Registrars secured a commanding 34.8 percent market share of the NGX by market capitalization.

The company also maintained an extensive 64 percent coverage of companies listed on the NGX Premium Board, reflecting robust and enduring partnerships with some of Nigeria’s most influential issuers.

Operationally, 2025 saw the registrar facilitate 1.99 million buy and sell transactions, while meticulously managing 2.91 million shareholder accounts within its diverse registrars portfolio.
Addressing the persistent challenge of unclaimed dividends, Coronation Registrars made significant strides by successfully returning ₦3.67 billion in legacy unclaimed dividends to investors.
This initiative played a crucial role in reconnecting shareholders with their previously outstanding entitlements.

To enhance shareholder record accuracy and service efficiency, the organization diligently processed over 513,000 Know Your Customer (KYC) and shareholder account updates, including comprehensive Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) House Number (CHN) updates and various record changes.
Commenting on these significant milestones, the Managing Director of Coronation Registrars Limited stated:

“Our 2025 scorecard is a testament to the immense responsibility we embrace as custodians of shareholder records and facilitators of dividend distribution for many of Nigeria’s foremost companies.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to enhancing investor access, bolstering operational efficiency, and actively supporting the continuous evolution and growth of Nigeria’s capital market.”

Coronation Registrars Limited continues to strategically leverage cutting-edge technology, operational excellence, and strong issuer partnerships to deliver unparalleled registry services, thereby meeting the evolving needs of both shareholders and listed companies.
