The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has applauded the Caring Habitat facility hospital built by a Nigerian in Diaspora, adding that this is an exceptional project worthy of commendation, encouragement hence the need to give back.
NIDCOM Boss stated this during the official opening of the Caring Habibat hospital in Nigeria, a purpose built Skilled – Nursing and in-Patients state of the art rehabilitation facility, with forty (40) rooms on three floors and wheel chair accessibility.
She commended the Managing Director. Caring Habitat, Dr. Abdul Fatai Olaolu Odemuyiwa for his dedication and vision for developing the facility, recognizing that he has invested many years abroad honing his expertise.
According to the statement released by the Commission, Dabiri-Erewa also expressed gratitude to the Managing Director for bringing his wealth of knowledge, experience back to the country through this exceptional healthcare project.
She enjoined other Diaspora Nigerians to emulate this laudable initiative, adding that only Nigerians can solve their own challenges by developing the country.
Dr. Abdul Fatai Olaolu Odemuyiwa, MD, Caring Habitat Hospital, while appreciating all the guests, urged other Diasporas to emulate this gesture by coming home to give back to the country.
He said he was proud to be one of the Nigerians that has returned home to contribute his own quota to the nation’s healthcare care delivery system.
The Secretary to the Ogun State Governor, Mr Tokunbo Talabi, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Health, Mrs Kemi Ogunyemi and the Ogun State Commissioner for health, Dr Tomi Coker, all commended Dr Olaolu for the laudable project, the first of its kind in Nigeria.
Dr. Yemi Onabowale (MD Reddington Hospital, Lagos) Mr. Yemi Adeola (Chairman Sterling Bank);and Dr Kweku Tandor were among dignitaries also present.
The Caring Habitat is a purpose built with Skilled – Nursing and in-Patients state of the art rehabilitation facility, with forty (40) rooms on three floors. All the rooms are ensuite and spacious to accommodate visiting family members.
These facilities have physical therapy for patients with chronic diseases, neurological conditions, degenerative conditions, orthopedic conditions, and other ancillary servicces.
