Dabiri-Erewa lauds Agboola’s leadership honour in New York

The Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has applauded Bashir Agboola on his new honour and award as Crain’s New York Business 2024 Notable Black Leader in Healthcare.

This is contained in a statement by the Commission’s Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, stating that Agboola has been projecting the good image of Nigeria with his professional duties.
The NiDCOM boss described this feat as a result of Agboola’s diligent efforts and consistent demonstration of excellence, phenomenal achievements, dedication and his leadership prowess.

She encouraged him to keep up the good work of being a source of pride to the nation, praying that this well deserved honour will project him to greater heights as the honour is a celebration of his success and advancement.
Bashir Agboola, the Vice President, Associate Chief Information Office and Chief Technology Officer at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) has led many successful technology initiatives.

Which has enabled many Business transformation efforts at HSS notable among them is his technology leadership during the Covid 19 Pandemic that ensured smooth patients care through the rapid scaling of technology infrastructure.

In celebration and recognition of his enormous contributions in healthcare services globally, Agboola is among those included in NiDCOM’s maiden Compendium titled +600 DIASPORA ICONS in 2020
HSS (Hospital for Special Surgery), founded in 1863 is the oldest orthopaedic hospital in the United States providing specialised medical care to over 200,000 patients with orthopaedic or rheumatologic conditions every year.

Irrespective of many years in existence, HSS still remains the world’s largest àcademic Medical center specialised in Musculoskeletal health with well equiped laboratories dedicated to basic and translational science.

HSS is rated number one in orthopedics in US and also the only Hospital in North America designated by the World Economic Forum to serve in the global coalition for value in Healthcare.
