The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa was recognized as one of Nigeria’s 100 most influential politicians.
Chief David Omoru, Editor-in-Chief of Global Synergy Newspapers Limited, presented the award to the Commission’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, during a visit to NiDCOM.
Chief Omoru explained that the award acknowledges Hon. Dabiri-Erewa’s immense contribution to the nation’s development. “Her efforts have ensured that Nigerians in the diaspora consistently send resources home, benefiting various sectors of the economy,” he noted.

He stressed the importance of celebrating outstanding figures within Nigeria, adding, “It’s crucial we acknowledge our own achievements rather than rely on foreign media, which often casts us in a negative light.”
According to the statement released by the Commission, while receiving the award, Balogun expressed deep gratitude, stating, “To be recognised by those who understand your journey is truly gratifying.”

He further thanked Global Synergy Newspapers Limited for the honour, emphasising that Hon. Dabiri-Erewa is humbled by the recognition and remains committed to her role in advancing the interests of Nigerians in the Diaspora.

This recognition highlights the Chairman/CEO’s ongoing dedication to fostering economic growth and national development through diaspora engagement.
