Divine Tower Schools Gwako, Abuja set to begin vocational classes

Patience Elaigwu Emmanuel, the Principal of Divine Tower & Tiffany International Schools, Gwako village, Gwagwalada, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja has revealed that the school will start vocational program to enable the students learn a crafted skills for future purposes.

The Principal who disclosed this during an exclusive interview recently said the management has made up plan that the vocational training will be commencing by September, adding that its open to all learners, except for those that their parents chose otherwise.

According to her, “Vocational training is all about training the child in any aspect that feels he or she is interested in. Like I said earlier, be it tailoring, hairdressing or computer, any aspect the child feels he or she is good at.
“We will be inculcating that interest into the heart of the children and it will be commencing by September, by the grace of God. We’ll commence that aspect of the education by September. Which it’s open to all learners, except for those that the parents feel low for it.

“Except for those who chose otherwise, from the JS1 to the SS3 class, it is open for everyone to participate in it and gain more knowledge. Because we’ll bring it into the curriculum of the school, even the Government, currently working on that too.

“They want the vocational training should come into the curriculum of the school. And the vital one cannot be left behind. So we’ve begun to look at the strategy that we’re going to be using to achieve this goal in line with the government.
“So that our children also will not be left behind. So it’s open to all, be it JS1, JS2, down to the SS3 classes. The vocational class is open to everyone to participate.

“By end of the day, when you graduate from our secondary school, you are not just only graduating with your school certificate but also graduating with a crafted skills. Something you know you can do.

“You can do it well, good. You can do it. And like our society today, when anyhow you’ve your certificate, there is something you should know how to do.

“Which will be your selling point. That is why Divine Tower and Tiffany, we sat down in the management level to look at it critically. And we’ve come to conclusion that we have to introduce it to the life of the learners”, the Principal said.

While speaking of the School achievements, Mrs Patience said Divine Tower and Tiffany International Schools, was established in 2019, and since then, it has been from one level of greatness to another.

“As I speak to you now, we are currently writing our WAEC exams and also NECO examinations. The school is one of the best in Gwako. It may look a little bit small, but God has been faithful to the school and also the learners are actually doing well.

“The school also has teachers that are capable and able. When your child is here, all the morals he or she needed will be given academically, spiritually and even otherwise. We’re really doing our best to make sure we build children with a good moral standard in the society”.
