The Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration, is making good on its promise of equitable infrastructure development across Nigeria, with Ekiti State emerging as a prime beneficiary of this commitment.
This was the resounding message from the Honourable Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi, following a strategic meeting with the Governor of Ekiti State.
Minister Umahi unequivocally stated the Federal Government’s dedication to ensuring no state is overlooked in the delivery of crucial road and bridge projects.
He attributed the widespread support for the ruling party to tangible achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, particularly in the realm of infrastructure.

Recalling his own tenure as Governor of Ebonyi State, where federal road projects were scarce, Umahi drew parallels with Ekiti and other states that faced similar neglect.
He lauded President Tinubu for fundamentally altering this narrative through an inclusive approach to national development.
For Ekiti State, Minister Umahi assured Governor Oyebanji that existing contracts would be executed with strict adherence to engineering principles and transparent procurement processes, ensuring high -quality and durable road infrastructure that will boost economic activities and improve connectivity.
Governor Oyebanji, in turn, expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu and Minister Umahi for transformative road interventions in Ekiti.
He specifically cited the reconstruction of the Ado‒Iyin‒Aramoko road, a project that had languished for years despite repeated promises from previous administrations.
The Governor underscored the President’s commitment to prompt execution, noting that contractors were mobilized to the site within weeks of approval.
This swift action, he added, has generated immense appreciation among the people of Ekiti State and bolstered public confidence in the Federal Govt’s dedication to infrastructure development.
Furthermore, Governor Oyebanji acknowledged the approval for the construction of the Ado‒Ijan‒Ikole Road, recognizing its strategic importance in enhancing transportation and economic activities within and beyond the state.
He emphasized that since the creation of Ekiti State nearly three decades ago, no administration has demonstrated such an unparalleled level of commitment to its infrastructure development.
The Governor concluded by conveying the heartfelt appreciation of the people of Ekiti State, affirming their renewed sense of belonging due to the Federal Government’s extensive interventions
