Hardship: Osun youths hails Tinubu’s economy reviving plan

As President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making efforts to revive the nation’s economy,an Osun Youths group under the aegis of Congress of Progressive Youth (COPY) has commended President Tinubu for his giant stride to bring back the nation’s economy to the right track.

The group also applauded President Bola Tinubu on driving impactful resounding policies in the key area of the nation’s economy for sustainable development in the land.

COPY, in a signed statement by its Secretary, Comrade Lekan Ibrahim (Legacy) and copies were made available to newsmen on Sunday, assuring Nigeria people of better economy in no distance time and Nigerians would soon applaud President Tinubu and his team on their efforts to revive the economy for betterment of the country.

The statement reads thus,”President Bola Tinubu’s administration took decisive steps to manage economic turbulence by removing subsidies on petrol and liberalizing the FX market.

“While these measures initially led to challenges such as soaring inflation, and currency fluctuation, they were implemented with inclusivity in governance and constant communication with the public.

“Under the purposeful leadership of CBN Governor, Mr. Yemi Cardoso, and the healthy partnership of Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, alongside Minister of Works, Engineer David Umahi, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola.

“Also, the Minister of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr. Dele Alake, significant strides have been made across various ministries, paving the way for transformative changes, adding that their dedication is duly noted, and history will remember their efforts for good.

“Mr. Tunji Ojo’s efforts in overhauling all the bottlenecks in the Immigration system and Ministry of the Interior generally; Barrister Festus Keyamo’s strides in the Aviation Ministry, and the excellence cum noticeable efforts of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yusuf Tuggar, in international diplomacy in bringing FDI to the country are remarkable and copious.

“Special recognition is also extended to the Committee on Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas, PiCNG Chairman, Engineer Michael Oluwagbemi, whose visionary leadership has swiftly realized the conversion of petrol-fueled engines to CNG-powered in the pilot phase, demonstrating unparalleled commitment to public service”.

In the same vein, the Director General of the COPY, Mr. Ibrahim Aderinto congratulated Mr. President on the successful launch of the Consumer Credit Scheme and lauds the appointment of Mr. Jim Ovia, a financial expert with a proven track record, to drive the highly anticipated Students loan process.

While celebrating these achievements, COPY calls upon Mr. President to evaluate the performance of his Ministers and redeploy individuals not meeting expectations, particularly emphasizing the critical importance of expertise and success in the energy and agricultural sectors, adding that the renewed hope dreams in energy and agricultural sector have not been translated into reality despite declaration of state of emergency on food security. 

“President Bola Tinubu’s commendable performance is acknowledged, with a pledge from COPY to provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.With unwavering commitment to progress, COPY remains steadfast in its support of strategic policies aimed at transforming Nigeria”, the statement submitted.
