Arrangements have been concluded to give a conscientious, devoted worker, good and considerate leader, head of Ibadan zonal headquarter of National Archives, Mrs Omolola Taiwo Adeoye, a befitting retirement ceremony.
The Chairman, Planning Committee of the event, Mrs. Yewande Omotade, made the disclosure to journalists at the Ibadan zonal office of National Archives.
According to her, there is the need to celebrate the Assistant Director, Mrs Adeoye, for the grace and mercy she received, stating that since she started her career over 30 years ago, some of her colleagues started well but could not end well while some have died and to the glory of God she is retiring hale and hearth.Omotade continued, dignitaries expected to grace the occasion at National Archives Ibadan zonal office include all the representatives of National Archives of Nigeria, Ibadan zonal office staff, the creme de la creme in the society, friends and family members.
She stated further that the cerenomy would come up on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 12 noon.
Mrs. Omolola Taiwo Adeoye, the outgoing Head of National Archives, Zonal Office, Ibadan was born on the 1st of April 1965 in Abeokuta, Ogun State. She attended Twins-day Nursery and Primary School for her primary education and Ikeja Grammar School for her secondary both in Lagos.Mrs. Adeoye is a twin, and she is the 5th child in a family of seven children. Her childhood was interesting as she was born into a Christian family, underwent a stern and strict parental upbringing.
She began her higher education at Ogun State College of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu Ode, now known as Tai Solarin University of Education.
She graduated with a National Certificate of Education(NCE) 1992. She later attended the University of Port-Harcourt and graduated with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in English and Educational Technology in 1999. She started a career in public service when she joined the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture in Ikoyi, Lagos State in 1992 where she served briefly. Following her marriage in 1993, she was transferred to the National Archives Port-Harcourt office, Rivers State in the same year.
She worked in the Port-Harcourt office and later became the Head of the National Archives Port-Harcourt from year 2011 until she left Port-Harcourt in the year 2018. Following her family’s relocation to Ibadan,Oyo State.
Mrs. Adeoye Omolola joined the Zonal office National archives Ibadan in 2019 as Chief Archivist and Deputy Head of Department. She eventually became the Head of the Zonal Office Ibadan in the year 2023 and she is retiring from this office as an Assistant Director.
Mrs. Adeoye a devoted Christian and a lover of prayer got married to her loving sweetheart; Deacon Aderemi Adeoye on May 1st 1993 in Lagos and the marriage is blessed with children and grandchildren. She has been a conscientious and devoted worker, a good and considerate leader, ready to help and assist friends, colleagues and subordinates both at work and outside work in general.
A lover of her home and family, a good wife and a good mother to her biological and other people’s children and a lover of God. She has been a children worker and a general worker in the Church of God.
Her hobbies and interests include : Travelling, Reading, Cooking and Fashion.
