The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said its attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets discovered in some polling units in Kogi State.
This was made known on the Commission’s Twitter ( X) Saturday as the people of Kogi exercise their franchise and vote for the candidate of your choice.
INEC who provided numbers for any suspicious moment during the election called on the voters to be civic in their approach and report any form of Emergency or Disruption to the Commission via; 4632, 09050858629, and 09084444333.
According to the Commission, “Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State. The Commission views this situation seriously.
“Our senior officials deployed to the State are currently investigating the incident(s). The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly.
Reacting to this reports, the People’s Democratic Party alleged that, “In Obatigben ward in Kogi State, result sheets are being filled by APC agents without an election.
Adding that, “There is no election anywhere in Ogori Magongo, yet results are filled by agents of APC, Police”, PDP claimed.
Meanwhile, accreditation of and voting by registered voters has begun in some part of the State such as at Open Space by Ava Hotel, Polling Unit 059, Lokoja Local Government Area among others.
