Following the recent redeployment of serving permanent secretaries by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF), Engr. Nadungu Gagare assumed duty at Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE).
This was in sequel to the Handing Over and Taking Over formalities on Tuesday at the conference room of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Secretatariat Complex, Phase 1, Abuja, according to the statement released by the Ministry.
Engr. Gagare in his remarks stated, “This Ministry sits at the heart of Nigeria’s future. The successful implementation of President Bola Tinubu depends greatly on how effectively we deepen digital inclusion, strengthen ICT infrastructure, grow the innovation ecosystem, protect our cyberspace, and unlock opportunities for young Nigerians”.
He added, “Nigeria is counting on us, the young innovators building solutions across the country, rural communities waiting for connectivity as well as every Ministry, Department, Agency and private sector partner relying on digital infrastructure is counting on us”.
Engr. Gagare expressed appreciation to Mr. Rafiu Adeladan his predecessor in recognition of the significant strides he recorded in advancing Nigerias’ digital transformation journey under his stewardship.
He promised to build on these achievements with continuity, stability and renewed vigour.
Earlier, outgoing Permanent Secretary Mr. Rafiu Adeladan in his remark cum farewell speech, welcomed Engr. Gagare to the Ministry.
He commended the management staff of the Ministry for conscientiousness, dedication to duty and support granted him during his tenure. He charged them to extend same to the incoming Permanent Secretary.
The event was witnessed by Management staff, Aides of the respective Permanent Secretaries as well as other staff of the Ministry.
