The call to national service has officially sounded as the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course will kick off on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
Across the length and breadth of Nigeria, the three-week exercise will unfold simultaneously in all 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to the statement, the rigorous training and nation-building activities are scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
For the eager prospective Corps Members, the wait is over. Call-up Numbers have already been uploaded to their individual dashboards, with Call-up Letters set to follow shortly.
Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, the Director General of the NYSC, extended his warmest congratulations to all mobilized members.
He commended their successful completion of higher education, both within and outside Nigeria, which has paved their way for this pivotal national service.
As they prepare for the journey ahead, Brig. Gen. Nafiu urged the corps members to prioritize their safety.
He strongly advised against traveling at night and emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to all travel and safety guidelines as they make their way to their respective orientation camps.
The stage is set for a transformative three weeks of camaraderie, discipline, and national integration.
