Olajide (Odidi Omo) appoints Mustapha, Akindele as Special Advisers

Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, member representing Ibadan North West/Ibadan South-west federal constituency in the House of Representatives, has appointed Tolu Mustapha as Special Adviser on Media, Public Affairs and Protocol, and Hon. Kunle Akindele as Special Adviser on Special Duties.

The appointments, which take immediate effect are aimed at strengthening the office of Honourable Olajide, who also doubles as the Chairman, House committee on Digital and Information Communication and also enhance his desire to effectively serve the people of Ibadan North West/Ibadan South-west federal constituency.

In a statement personally signed by him, Hon. Olajide expressed his confidence in the appointees.

He said, “Tolu Mustapha and Hon. Kunle Akindele are seasoned professionals with proven track records of excellence.

“I am confident that they will bring their expertise and experience to bear in their new roles and help to deliver on my mandate to the people of Ibadan North West/Ibadan South-west federal constituency.”

Tolu Mustapha, a seasoned media professional with over 20 years experience in Broadcast Journalism and conventional media practice, brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.

With a specialization in Political Communication and Public Affairs management, Mustapha has worked with top media organizations, including the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) between 2009 and 2012, and was the Oyo state correspondent for City People magazine until 2014.

He has also served as a political communication consultant in various capacities and was a Protocol officer and Media Assistant to the late former Governor of Oyo state, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala from 2015 to 2022.

In addition to his extensive media experience, Tolu Mustapha holds an LLB degree in Law and a Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies from the National Open University of Nigeria.

He recently completed a professional Master of Science Degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology (M.Sc. LCS), from the University of Ibadan and is currently pursuing his LLM degree in Law from Leadcity University, Ibadan.

He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration (U.K), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators and an HIIT certified Project Management Professional.

While Hon. Kunle Akindele, the newly appointed Special Adviser on Special Duties, a seasoned politician and former councillor in Ibadan South West Local Government brings a wealth of experience in public service.

He studied Computer Science at the Polytechnic, Ibadan and is a certified International Diplomat, Protocol & International Conflict Resolution expert with certification from La Plage Meta Verse.

He has a record of remarkable delivery, community development, deeply rooted in grassroot advocacy, leadership, social entrepreneurship, politics and governance both within and outside the country.

Kunle Akindele has provided comprehensive, administrative, operational and managerial support to various organizations and governments.

His proficiency lies in coordinating and leading operational functions for youth and community based leaders.
