Aide to former Vice President, Remo Omokri on Wednesday has tackled the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye over his reaction to the ongoing war between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group in Gaza Strip, Palestine.

Remo Omokri on Twitter (X) who questioned the General Overseer for throwing his weight behind Israel asked about the Christian brothers and sisters in Palestine, adding that a greater percentage of Palestinians are Christians than the Israeli population.

He said, “Half a million of them, to be precise. Doesn’t the Bible, in Galatians 6:10, ask us to first show love to members of the household of faith before others?

“Perhaps they may feel abandoned that your message did not even mention them. If I were a Palestinian and saw your message, I would sink into further despair”.

Omokri added, “Acts 10:34 says God does not show partiality. But sir, are we not being partial when we pray for Israel and ignore Palestine? Perhaps it is an oversight”.

He told Pastor Adeboye that he has been to Palestine and will not wish their condition on his own enemy. “They are God’s children, too.

“Don’t they deserve our love and prayers and every possible non- military support we can rouse to alleviate their tremendous human suffering? Remo Omokri asked.

Meanwhile, Pastor Adeboye in a video clip shared on his  X account with the caption, “It is my prayer for all our brethren in Israel that the Almighty will grant you absolute peace from now on in Jesus name.

#Israel #peace”, on Wednesday, Adeboye said his prayers are with the people of Israel. “The Almighty God, the only one of Israel will give you absolute victory and give you permanent peace from now on in the mighty name of Jesus”.

He said, “Hello my beloved brothers in Israel, I want you to know that we are praying for you, that all members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God all over the world are standing by you at this critical moment.

Israel has declared war on the Palestinian militant group Hamas after it carried out an unprecedented attack by air, sea and land on Saturday.

The large-scale surprise assault has left at least 900 dead in Israel, prompting a lethal volley of retaliatory Israeli airstrikes on Gaza that killed at least 687 people.

As they retreated into Gaza, the militants claimed to have taken at least 100 hostages with them and have threatened to kill them if airstrikes target Gaza without warning. Israel has pledged that Hamas will pay a heavy price.
