Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has said that the All Progressive Congress Party APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima are the best without a doubt, adding that both are former governors and lawmakers.

Abiodun who made this known during the unveiling of the Ogun State Party’s campaign secretariat at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, tagged ‘IGBEGA 2023’, on Saturday, stressed that the duo when elected would bring on board good governance.

He called on members of the party to work together as a team as the 2023 general election draws closer. “Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kassim Shettima are the best without a doubt.

“Both are former governors and lawmakers. They have both implemented programmes that transformed and propelled both states that they governed. Today, as we unveil this campaign council, I urge you all to work together as a team.

“Even as we sell our programmes and manifestos to the good people of Ogun State, we must work as hard as we did three years and six months ago, we must engage in constructive and issue based campaign in line with the provision of the electoral law and rule of engagement”, he said.

The State helmsman who also noted that he was confident of winning the forthcoming general election, said that his determination is to win convincingly.

“I don’t have a doubt that we will win this election, I don’t have a doubt about that because we have worked very hard to keep our promises, we have justified that mandate entrusted to us as seen by our people-oriented projects spread across the state.

“My determination is to win, not just to win, but to do so convincingly, I have no doubt that we have chosen that winning team,” he said.

Abiodun while noting that his administration would soon begin the implementation of its E-mobilith and Gas mobility project which will help reduce carbon emissions in the state, also added that the state would begin the laying of new reticulation across the state to replace the old ones laid over fifty years ago.

“We are going to begin the implementation of our E-mobilith and Gas mobility project through which all motorcycles will become powered by batteries and mass transport vehicles powered by gas, this will reduce carbon emissions in our state.

“We also know that water is key to everyone, as an administration, we will prioritize the provision and supply of water supply, we will also be laying new reticulation across the state to replace the old ones laid over fifty years ago.

“At completion, it is our hope that the perennial challenges of water all over the state will be a thing of the past,” he said.

The governor also disclosed that his administration would be deploying technology for surveillance and crime detection, adding that his administration would also continue to provide necessary incentives and motivation for law enforcement agencies in the state.

Speaking also at the event, the grand patron of the Ogun State APC Campaign Council and former Governor of the State, Olusegun Osoba, who noted that the Permanent Voter’s Card is the real vote, said that about five million permanent voter’s cards are yet to be collected in the South West.
