The Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has inaugurated national and state executives of BMG Associates, a support organisation mobilising grassroots backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The inauguration took place at Syde Resort, Raba Road, Kaduna, with political leaders, government officials, community representatives, women and youth groups in attendance.

Goronyo charged the newly inaugurated executives to prioritise grassroots engagement, peaceful political participation and responsible leadership across the seven North-West states.

He said the organisation’s expanded structure would help coordinate activities, strengthen stakeholder participation and ensure that communities remained connected to national development efforts.

The minister also praised the Tinubu administration’s infrastructure agenda, citing major projects including the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto–Badagry Superhighway, Trans-Saharan Corridor, Akwanga–Jos –Bauchi–Gombe corridor and Abuja–Kaduna–Zaria–Kano road corridor.

He further highlighted the Kaduna–Kano rail project, Kano City Rail Service and student loan scheme as initiatives aimed at improving transportation, education and economic opportunities.

On the 2027 elections, Goronyo called for unity, peaceful coexistence and responsible political engagement.

He argued that President Tinubu should be allowed to complete his constitutional tenure and seek a second term, noting that the North had previously produced the president during Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

As part of his support for the organisation, Goronyo presented eight Toyota vehicles—one each to the seven North-West state structures and one to the national executive. The vehicles are expected to support mobility, coordination and grassroots outreach.

The minister urged the new executives to work with dedication, discipline and accountability while remaining responsive to the needs of citizens.

Speakers at the event, including Kaduna Commissioner for Women Affairs Hajiya Rabi Salisu, youth leader Abdullahi Abubakar Yola and Tinubu Support Group Director-General Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai, called for greater inclusion of women and youths, peaceful political activities and stronger community engagement.

The organisation’s Secretary-General and Director of Strategy and Communication, Engr. Harisu H. M. Jibrila, said its promoters were inspired by Goronyo’s leadership and organisational capacity during the 2023 presidential campaign.

He said BMG Associates would continue building a coordinated platform capable of engaging communities and stakeholders across the North-West ahead of the 2027 political season.
