Education, they says is an investment in the future, and one of the best gifts that parents can give to their children with high hopes, wanting them to be happy and successful in whatever they choose to do, making sure they get standard education.
Media Bypass News in its quest to unravel schools that meet up this standard made a courtesy visit to The Wise Schools at Baale Leba House, Orile Ifo, Ogun State, a school that develop children’s talents and abilities, and give them the opportunity to make a better life for themselves.
The Wise Schools which was established less than four years ago has recorded 95 percent success and milestones, it engaged in a quiz competition in 2022, with its Junior School students beating 36 Senior School students to become second position, an unbeatable record that brought the school into limelight.
Speaking with The Wise Priopertor, Alhaji Oladeji Rahmond Lawal who is a Chartered Accountant by profession said he ventured into education to build the future, according to him, “Everything is not about money, we need to build the future. Even after acquiring the wealth and those that are suppose to spend the money are not skillful or less skilled, there will be alot of wastage”.
Lawal who spoke about morality which is one of the major reason why he become educationist said the children need to be taught about knowledge, need to be God- fearing. “These are things we were able to acquire during our own days but now children are knowledgeable, brilliant but arrogant”, he said.
The Priopertor expressed concern over some students who have the potential but due to their arrogancy toward their tutors, teachers, these hidden knowledges were neglected or lost. “In The Wise school we impact morality into the students’ system, those past glory can still be manifested in them.
“The reason is being that knowledge and wisdom are just like trees, expecting every tree to bear fruit, the fruit of knowledge and wisdom is moral and once there’s no moral in our children, there won’t be development in such community which is why I ventured into education”, Alhaji says.
He assured parents that bringing their children to the school, such children are going to encounter global standard with a conducive environment and teachers who are well-trained, experienced, skillful and respectful.
“The Wise school are being valued more because our students who represented the school while in JS One competed with SS 3 students of other schools to attain second position. At The Wise, we treat our parents as king while our student are being treated as prince and princess. We see the best, we know the best and we are ready to give the best”, the Priopertor said.
The Headmaster of The Wise school, Mrs Adeyemi Aderemi applauded the Priopertor for treating the staff equally and imbibing moral and more knowledge to the scholars, while advised the teachers to put more effort, and not to relent so as to achieve more greater heights.
Speaking on how the children assimilate knowledge, Mrs Ologbenla, one the teacher said, “when we teach, they grab, but school is different nowadays, not use to been during our own time, we were more disciplined but now it is far gone. Parents nowadays doesn’t allow teacher to discipline their children, especially private school”.
She commended the Wise students for being a fast learner. “Our Students are fast learners, while we’re trying to mode them for future wise and we the teachers are well-trained”. Mrs Ologbenla said further that The Wise stand out on intensive learning, advised the parents to give more support to the school and the teachers.
Mr Salisu Mukhtaar, one of the parent, said that The Wise is a special school in the sense that it encompasses both the western and Islamic education, “as students learning the western education so also Islamic education”.
He added that, “The school has qualified teachers to lead the students, hailed the proprietor for counseling both students and the teachers, trying to enlightening them while putting them on the right track”.
The parent said he was inspired by the structure, the facilities of the school, according to him, “you know if you want to teach and get results, the school has to have some facilities, equipment which will aid learning and at this school I discovered so many things that will entice or aid students into learning”.
Mr Salisu who hailed the transition of his kid from the primary stage to the secondary school stage described it as ‘superb’, he discovered that the teachers during the primary school stage have tried to give their best to the children in term of curriculum coverage, moral exposure and health tips
Which he said has helped his kid to transit from primary to the secondary school stage. “What they are teaching him in secondary school now have already been taught in primary school stage making his JSS1 class to be a revisional class. This has given me the confidence that this school is a school to recom with.
Mr Salisu advised the school management to keep the tempo going, not to compromised and relent in their efforts and work more in impacting the knowledge, the characters and the modern technic to the students so that the aim of education will be achieved while implored other parents to bring their kids to The Wise school to benefit from the goodies the school has to offer.
