In his address, the Governor highlighted the pressing need for collective action in maintaining a clean environment.

“A cleaner Lagos starts with us—every resident must take ownership of their surroundings,” he stated.

The Governor urged every Lagosian to dedicate just two hours each month to this vital cause, reminding citizens that small, consistent actions can lead to significant change.
The initiative aims to tackle various environmental challenges, such as waste management and drainage blockages, which are often exacerbated during the rainy season.

To facilitate participation, the Lagos State Ministry of Environment will provide resources and support for residents, ensuring they have the tools needed for effective sanitation efforts.

Community leaders are encouraged to mobilize their neighborhoods, fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation.

In closing, the Governor expressed his confidence in the people of the State, stating, “Together, we can transform our city into a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful place for everyone. Let’s take pride in our environment and show that we care!”
