Ogun applauds Tobi Amusan for becoming World’s fastest woman

The Ogun State Government has congratulated the Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan on her triumph at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational recently.

Tobi Amusan officially becomes the world’s fastest woman after defeating the current world champion Danielle Williams during the women’s 100m hurdle at the Jamaica athletics Invitational.

It was reported that the Nigerian athlete, Amusan clinched victory in the women’s 100m hurdles with a remarkable time of 12.40 seconds, marking a season’s best.

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on X appreciated the athlete on behalf of the Ogun people, saying the state and the country as a whole is proud of her exceptional talent and skill.

According to him, “We congratulate @Evaglobal01 on her triumph at the Jamaica Athletics Invitational. We are proud of her exceptional talent and skill, which has made Ogun State and Nigeria proud.

“Tobi’s victory, running a blistering 12.40s to win the race ahead of world champion Danielle Williams, showcases her strong will and tenacious tendency for optimal performance.

“As a worthy ambassador and priceless export from our dear State, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tobi Amusan on behalf of the government and the good people of Ogun State”, the Governor said.
