The Sokoto State Police Command has commended the Honourable Minister of State for Works, Bello Goronyo, for the facilitation of the fencing of the Divisional Police Headquarters in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The Police Command described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that it will significantly enhance the security of the division while boosting the operational efficiency, confidence, and morale of officers and men serving in the area.
According to the Command, the fencing project will greatly improve the safety of personnel and police facilities, thereby strengthening effective policing and service delivery within the division.
The commendation was formally conveyed in a letter dated 31st December 2025, signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Umar Sokoto Abubakar, Department of Finance and Administration (Admin), on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command.
The letter highlighted the urgent need to secure Divisional Police Headquarters in Goronyo and expressed appreciation for the Honourable Minister’s swift response to the request.
In response to the commendation, the Honourable Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to the Sokoto State Police Command for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to continued collaboration with security agencies.
Rt. Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo assured that he remains committed to doing more in the provision of social amenities, security infrastructure, and critical public facilities for communities, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at strengthen security, promoting development, and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
According to the statement released by his aide, the Minister emphasized that supporting security institutions and community infrastructure remains a key component of sustainable national development and public safety.
The Sokoto State Police Command prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the Honourable Minister continued strength, wisdom, and success in his service to the nation.
