Coronation Group successfully hosted the Coronation Women Initiative Network (Coronation WIN) Conference 2026, convening over 500 women from across its ecosystem and the broader financial services community in Lagos, as part of activities marking International Women’s Month.

The conference brought together an inspiring assembly of female staff from Coronation offices in Ghana, Port Harcourt, and Abuja, alongside board members, CEOs, and senior executives, reinforcing a shared commitment to advancing women’s leadership across the organisation and industry.

Held under the theme “Give to Gain: Pledge to Progress 2.0,” the conference reaffirmed Coronation’s commitment to advancing gender equity, leadership development, and sustainable wealth creation across Africa.

It also aligns with a key pillar of Coronation’s sustainability agenda—Women in Finance, which focuses on increasing representation, opportunity, and long-term success for women within the financial ecosystem.

The event builds on the momentum of the inaugural WIN Conference and reflects Coronation’s broader sustainability strategy, which integrates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its operations and long-term value creation.

Through initiatives such as Coronation WIN, the Group continues to align with global priorities like UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 (Gender Equality), while fostering inclusive leadership and expanding access to opportunities for women.
Launched in April 2024, Coronation WIN is dedicated to supporting women’s personal and professional growth through mentorship, leadership development programmes, networking platforms, and educational seminars, while also encouraging male allies to actively champion gender equality.

The highlight of the conference was a keynote address delivered by Mrs. Olatowun Candide-Johnson, Founder & CEO of GAIA Africa, titled “Building Systems that Enable Women to Lead and Thrive.”

In her address, she emphasised the importance of moving beyond individual success toward systemic transformation: ‘Today, we must shift the conversation from what women should do differently to the systems that must exist for them to thrive consistently.
The challenge is not a lack of talent; it is structural issue. Too often, organisations mistake programmes for systems. Programmes are time-bound, but systems are enduring infrastructure that continues to deliver impact even in the absence of individuals.

Coronation sits at the intersection of capital, technology, influence, and talent—this is a position of extraordinary leverage to build systems that truly enable women to lead and succeed.”

The keynote challenged organisations and individuals to rethink structures, strengthen networks, and invest deliberately in pathways that enable women to lead with confidence and longevity.
Speaking at the conference, Pai Gamde, Sponsor, Coronation WIN, reiterated the initiative’s focus on tangible outcomes: “Coronation WIN is about translating intent into impact.

As an organisation committed to sustainable wealth creation, we recognise that empowering women is not just a social priority, but a strategic imperative for building resilient institutions and inclusive economies.”

Participants described the conference as both inspiring and practical. Oluwabunmi Adetiloye, a staff member and attendee, noted: “This conference has shifted my mindset from personal growth to collective impact.
“It has challenged me to be more intentional, not just about my own leadership journey, but about creating opportunities for other women to rise.”

The Coronation WIN Conference continues to serve as a catalyst for leadership, mentorship, and community -building, reinforcing Coronation’s mission to drive sustainable prosperity and inclusive growth.

By embedding gender equity within its sustainability agenda, Coronation is actively shaping a future where women are empowered to lead, influence, and thrive at scale.
